Position Overview:

 

The Accounts Payable Scanning Clerk is responsible for converting paper documents into digital format using scanning equipment, ensuring accuracy and proper file management. This role will transition to AP Analyst within six to eight months.

Responsibilities

  • Using scanners to convert physical documents into digital images.
  • Preparing documents for scanning by removing staples, unfolding papers, and ensuring they are suitable for scanning.
  • Verifying the quality of scanned images to ensure they are legible and accurate.
  • Naming, saving, and organizing digital files in appropriate folders and systems.
  • Locating and providing access to digital documents when needed.
  • Adhering to data protection regulations and company policies regarding document management.
  • Adhering to detailed instructions and procedures for scanning and file management.

 

Qualifications

  • No degree but working towards an accounting/financial degree
  • Computer skills including MS Office
  • Using office equipment such as a scanner
  • Self-motivated and detail-oriented
  • Team oriented and collaborative
